Here we are again with this fine AI map release, thanks to the countless hours of developing time contributed by the AITeam members. This release is having some heavy tweaks to the items system + AI`s having their own courier to bring them the goods. The new heroes got their AI too and the biggest news from the team are… our new developer – Ciel_Asuka. Blending well and adjusting to the script, Ciel will make us all happy.

Also, we sent Green_Sliche to talk with the AIs in person and get their item preferences on list. He did not also bring them to us… but he used his time there to teach the AIs using some of the new and old items.. which they didn’t use yet. With fewer words: Green made all the item builds

Why DOOMSDAY you will ask? Well, we had that 12.12.12 date, when we would all die from horrible events… and we were in so so great danger that the AITeam decided that we should celebrate the death avoidance during the whole 2013. So.. that`s the reason.

Dota 6.78 official map update has been released just a couple of hours ago by IceFrog, the original DotA creator himself.

With this patch you can expect several minor changes which does reflect your overall DotA experience.

Despite the meteoric rise of DotA 2, people are still playing Warcraft 3 DotA which is why IceFrog is keeping it ahead for the community.

DotA 6.78c Changes:

• Rage cooldown increased from 15 to 17 seconds
• Flamebreak cooldown increased from 11 to 14
• Tether movement bonus decreased from 20% to 17%
• Living Armor damage block instances from 7 to 4/5/6/7
• Chemical Rage bonus HP reduced from 300/600/900 to 250/500/750
• Gyrocopter attack range reduced from 375 to 365

Dota 6.78 official map update has been released just a few hours ago by IceFrog, the original DotA founder himself.

With this patch you can expect a couple of new heroes and several balance changes.

Here is an excerpt from the changelog:

Dota Theme Manager v5 Download

DotA Theme Manager

Or in short known as DTM this useful tool allows you to change the look of the terrain while still allowing you to play with people who do not use the DotA ThemeManager – on battle.net, garena, hamachi, just everywhere.

Multiple themes are available: Beach, Barrens, Snow, Hell, City and Highlands, all of them having a unique design!

Many of you will wonder how it works…well, it is simple: The DTM exchanges textures of terrain, trees and doodads in the MPQ files – basically the storing files for WC3. The process is easily reversible, not harming WC3 at all, and it causes no problems in the interaction with other players who do not use the DTM. A tiny negative point is that is also changes the textures for other maps which might look a bit bad, but if you restore it to original it works again, so it is never problematic.

Installation Guide
1. Download the newest version of the DotA Theme Manager
2. Unpack the file IN your warcraft folder – in most cases C:\Program Files\Warcraft III.
You can find the paths the files should have below!
3. DO NOT move or rename any of the files you unpacked. The path must be: “\Warcraft III\DTMV4\”
4. If you want it on your desktop, create a shortcut of the exe file.
5. make sure both your WC3 and your World Editor are closed!
6. Go!
Note: needs to be ‘Run as administrator’ under Vista to run entirely properly (thanks to Dagguh for this information!).

Paths
The DotA Theme Manager uses the following paths for the files:Warcraft III Folder\DTMV4
-this is the folder you should see when you open your WC3 folder.
In it, you should have:
Warcraft III Folder\DTMV4\DTMV4.exe
-the application itself. Use this executable to start the DotA Theme Manager.
Warcraft III Folder\DTMV4\Data
-the Data-Folder, containing all necessary data the DTM needs to work.

Main Idea of the Map

This is an AoS-map-typed showdown between three different anime fractions: Bleach, Naruto and One Piece. Each player can choose one of the unique heroes of his favorite anime series.Main goal is to defeat the enemies’ heroes, their forces and destroying their base by making use of the powerful skills each character has and increasing their fighting repertoire by merging different items to even stronger ones. Each base is guarded by 4 towers around the main building, a tower on the end of each lane another 2 towers per lane.

The terrain is mostly based on different regions, spots etc. of all the three anime series to create an authentic atmosphere.

Currently available modes and further game commands

Currently available Modes:

• ap: allows to pick heros from both taverns
• ar: everyone gets a random hero
• sm: heroes get faster experience
• usm: heroes get 3x experience than usual
• nf: no fog of war (map is completely visible)
• we on/we off (enabling weather changes, influencing the war as well)

Further Game Commands:

• random: you will get a random hero instead of having to pick one
• suicide: kills your hero, but you pay 500g for it (use when you are stucked)
• ms: shows the current movement speed of your hero
• ma: shows which player controls which hero
• cs: displays the number of creeps you have killed
• ch/-cn/-cl: scrolls the camera to high/normal/low
• re-pick: allows you to once re-pick your hero
